Rees wrote some thoughts on the Bristol show. Pics will be added in the
next coupla days...
Venue
- really good, but hot. I'd guess at a 200 ish attendance but am happy
to be corrected.
Crowd
- exellent, enthusiastic, a good bunch - bless them all ! I
took my son along too (age 10) as he needed to see a decent band play.
He loved it and the crowd were very accomodating with letting him sit
down right in front of the stage (apologies to the band for that).

Listees
- the usual suspects were in attendance. Line up and take a bow... Mick
Penn, Glen & Wendy, The Leahy's, Mr Nicholson. Anyone else there ?
Sound
- excellent
Setlist
- similar to last years tour, but in a different order. My
memory is a bit vague but they opened with Rock Around The Clock (or if
it wasn't that, it was definately a Bill Hayley song) and then blasted
into I Dunno. They finished with a Bob Dylan song (How does it feeeeeeeel,
to be on your own... you know the one). When they did KYHTY, Dan invited
2 members of the audience to sing a verse each. Glen and Phil kept a low
profile and let some other folk do the business. The first guy was a bit
off key as he was full of beer. The second was really good - lots of praise
from the band. Good on you matey ! There were none of Ken's solo songs,
and nothing from Mothballs either. Oh yeah, they did Six Years Gone too.
Band
- as tight as ever. No big surprise, but they're still enjoying
what they're doing and full of smiles at the end of the show. Who
could ask for more.
Photos
- I've got some, will try & sort out posting them somewhere.

Overall
- 8/10
Thanks
to :
* The listees mentioned above - always 'good to see you back again'
* Martin Jarvis - for giving my son Mauro's drumsticks (they were
well-used)
* Mauro - for making a fuss of my son straight after the show.
* Mick Brown - for Dan's signed Radio Bristol pass (again this went
to junior !)
* Dan, Keith, Ken, Mauro (again) - for another cracking show.
While I'm here, I bought a copy of the Feels So Good live CD set. It was
£20 (so no VAT & postage). Quality wise - nothing wrong with
it to these ears. Worth picking up if your pockets are deep enough. Enjoy
the rest of the tour folks. If this show is anything to go by, you're
in for a treat.
Cheers,
Leighton.
