This report was sent in by Tomas Gustafsson. Tomas, this is good reading stuff, thanks a lot!

"Hi, It's now been a couple of days since I got home from my trip to Denmark and I still got my ears ringing from some of the best rock'n'roll I ever heard from a stage. The two shows in Roskilde and Copenhagen were great and it seems like Dan only gets better with age. I will come back to you with pictures as soon as I have gotten time to through them all. Here follows a short resume of my two days in Denmark.

Wednesday 10/11-2004: After a half day at work in Stockholm I left for the airport to fly down to Copenhagen. My good friend Erling had a important meeting north of Copenhagen and couldn't meet me right away. Instead he sent he's good friend Martin who had came down from Oslo, Norway to attend the Danish shows. Meeting Martin in Copenhagens Hard Rock Café was like meeting a long lost friend and we became drinking companions during the next two days (Martin, Tuborg Julebryg is a fucking great beer!). Around 6 pm Erling came by to pick up us for the 40 minutes ride to Roskilde. In Roskilde we met up with Pernilla (Erlings lovely girlfriend). "Gimle" in Roskilde wasn't packed but it was a quite large crowd (perhaps 150-200, I reckon the place could hold 250). After a quick chat with Mick Brown doing he's duty at the sales stand. The curtain came down and the band hit off with `I Dunno'. Other songs played during the show were (in no particular order):

"Gimle" 10/11-2004:
I Dunno
Nights Of Mystery/Get It On/ Nights Of Mystery
Keep Your Hands To Yourself
Railroad Steel
Sheila/Pills/Sheila
All Over But The Crying
Dan Takes 5
Hellbound Train (Ken McMahan doing a track)
Julie + Lucky
I Love You Period
Look At What You Started
Dixie
Younger Face
L'il Bit
Red Light
Picture On The Wall
Beerrun
Helpless (last track of the show).
All through the night Ken was steaming especially on `L'il Bit' and `Nights Of Mystery'. `Beerrun' was a request from me so that was a memorable moment for me and during `Helpless' Dan noted that there just been a election in the US and that this was he's new favourite song. After the show we had a couple of laughs with Dan and the boys (all the touring gang had been over at Erlings for dinner Tuesday night, so you could say that I came down to Denmark one day to late :-( ).

Thursday 11/11-2004: Me and Martin spent the morning in Erlings couch watching Georgia Satellites Videos. The plans for the afternoon were that Erling and Martin should show Me, Mauro and Ken Copenhagen. But as it turned out, Erling had to work all day so now Martin was the only guide. Me and Martin arrived at the Hotel at 3 pm to pick Mauro and Ken up for a walking and shopping trip through Copenhagen. Mick Brown had a busy day with a lot of (interesting) business to take care of at the same time as he was informed that the tour van was broken. Martin quickly got to rescue calling a friend owning a discotheque close to tonights venue (The Rock). Martin persuaded his friend to lend the crew his van and this ment that I was the guide for the walking trip (I haven't been in Copenhagen for 8 years!). Me, Mauro and Ken had us a nice walk through the Central of Copenhagen. After the walk I met up with Martin again for a quick beer before heading back to "The Rock" for the soundcheck...oops no band...hurry back to the Hotel to direct the band to the venue...

Soundcheck "The Rock" 11/11-2004:
Woke Up Jake
Tell My Fortune
After the soundcheck we met up with Erling for dinner then we went back to "The Rock". Showtime...(songs are in no particular order)

"The Rock" 11/11-2004:

Open All Night
Six Years Gone
Another Chance
Don't Open That Door
Hush
It's All Over Now
Nights Of Mystery/Get It On/Little Queenie/ Nights Of Mystery
Keep Your Hands To Yourself
Railroad Steel
Sheila/Pills/Sheila
All Over But The Crying
Dan Takes 5
Hellbound Train (Ken McMahan doing a track)
Julie + Lucky
I Love You Period
Look At What You Started
Dixie (opening track)
Younger Face
L'il Bit
Helpless (last track of the show)
The guys were very loose and Dan was really funny. Every time Dan sang about love he looked at Erlings mother who seemed very much into the show. After the show we hanged out with the guys until they had to leave to get a couple of hours sleep before hitting the road for Berlin. Martin and I hit the Beer Bars of Copenhagen... Thanks Erling for letting me stay in your lovely house and to Martin for being my drinking company and to everbody else that I met during my two days in Denmark. See you all next year.

Rock on
/Tomas
