Barbara wrote the following review. Scroll on down for the pics. Thanks, Barbara!

We made a 1-day-trip to Glasgow to see Dan Baird and homemade sin in the NICE´N SLEAZY,where their new live-cd was recorded last year,´cause we couldn´t manage to see them in Belgium.
Saw them in Germany twice in 2003 and once in2004.Knew we shouldn´t miss this year.
We started in Düsseldorf, went to the airport in Weeze and just hopped into the plane without any big luggage, which was pretty cool I think,´cause we´ve never done something like that before.
We landed at Prestwick-airport 20 minutes early and took the next train to Glasgow Central.

When we came to the NICE´N SLEAZY 1 hour early the cellar, where the gig was supposed to happen, was still closed.
But the Pub on the basement was crowded already and we took a good beer.People were really nice here.
When we went down into the cellar later we were amazed of the tiny and cosy room with a little bar in it.
We bought some T-shirts at the merchandising-counter and I pulled mine over at once, although it was already quite hot down here.

When db and homemade sin appeared on the stage Dan´s first words were:"Fuckin´jacket- it´s gonna be hot!",undressed his jacket and the crowd was yelling of joy.
They started with "Land of Salvation and sin".Yeah, back again, that´s what they were.
I wondered how many people of the audience were also back again and had joined the show last year in the NICE`N SLEAZY.
Each time I listened to the record I was jelous of the audience beein able to sing the first verse of "Keep your hands to yourself" on their own.
This time Dan started as usual, but stopped in the middle of the first verse when he realized where he was.

They started again to let us sing.Wow!That was overwhelming!!!
In the middle of "All over but the crying" his words:"You can tell yourself it serves me right" came out a bit too strong (quotation while smiling:"Yeah, that was a bit over-motivated, but I wanna see you doin this for 2 hours or more.").
This made the audience laugh and also Dan.
He repeated the last passage in a calmer kinda way.
Ken threw in one of his songs-a good one. Can´t remember the title, sorry.
I can´t think of many songs which were missing. So E.g.:"Another chance" or "Helpless".

After 2 hours and 15 minutes of great sweat-suckin real rock´n roll- music, full of fun-performance and chat with the crowd, Dan shook hands with the people standing right in front of the stage to say thank you.
He is so with his audience, just authentic, just real-and real good!!!
Their tour can deservedly be named "feel so good-tour 2005"!
After the show, when the room emptyed,Dan and Mauro came to sign and chat with some people.
We were lucky to take a picture with Dan and have a short chat aswell.

A man noticed that we´re from Düsseldorf/Germany and told us that he´s got a friend living very near to our hometown. What a coincidence!
This man told us that he was going to visit Dan´s Scotland-venues and after that the others in England aswell.
So,it´s not just us crazy enough to travel to Scotland for a db-show.
There are some others aswell. That´s good!

24 hours later we were back home in Düsseldorf.
That´s weird, but our trip was absolutely worth it!!!
We think about doin something like that again maybe next year.
Hope Dan and friends are gonna be somewhere around again.

Best wishes from Barbara
