Tour Reports November and December 2004

November 2004: Very Special Guests @ Dudley

Very Special Guests @ Dudley (check tourdates) - Rod Stewart And The Facez, clue's in the spelling. Tour promotor Mick Brown has let us know this and suggests getting to the venue early. "These guys are superb and play nothing past 1973". Well, there ya go!

September 2004: Euro Tour confirmed!

Finally! All dates are set and both mainland as UK Europeans are in for a big, big treat. Almost a month of close to non-stop touring will make sure that everyone gets a chance to catch Dan & Co. live this November. Check the Tour Dates page for more info!

August 2004: Euro Tour in November

Tour promoter Mick Brown has let us know that the Euro Tour is now 99% booked and is due to start on November 5th in Germany, running through Switzerland, Belgium, The Netherlands and Denmark before crossing the water for a week's worth of UK shows during the last week of November. The UK this time should include Wales and Scotland as well as the English shows.

August 2004: Dan produces Mauro Magellan's album

Check out Jerkin' Crocus for the album 'Love School' by The Crashers. Dan did production work on this one. Of course we all know Mauro as the (Heart of the) Georgia Satellites' drummer. The Crashers is 'his other band'. Jerkin' Crocus claims: Any fans of the Satellites will not be disappointed. Well, they made us curious!

22 June 2004: July Tour Cancelled

The tour is not going to happen (now). Quote Dan: 'Through a couple of unfortunate turns of events, the whole enchilada is down the tubes. You don't wanna know. Nobody's dead or anything like that, but…...We'll make it up to everyone eventually.' We'll hold you to that promise!

June 2004: Final dates July Tour

The man himself has spoken and the tourdates are confirmed. Españoles, Deutscher, Schweizer, Suisse, Belgen, Belges, come and enjoy yourself!

June 2004: Live videos added from Keith & The Satellites gig

For all you people who haven't got the dvd (yet), my streammeister buddy Remco has made some wmv videos for y'all, out of the Keith & The Satellites dvd which is available at Lava Post Production. Needless to say the whole thing rocks like hell! Pic of the setlist over here. More info on this gig in February last year in the News Archive 2003.

May 2004: Tour Dates Heart of The Georgia Satellites

Dates for a July Tour in Germany and Switzerland have shown up on the web. Plus they're confirmed by Sascha Gutzeit, who will open each gig on this tour. Check the Tour Dates page! There has also been talk of a September-ish tour for the UK. More news to come.

April 2004: New Yayhoos album: 'Put The Hammer Down'

According to an interview with Eric 'Roscoe' Ambel, The Yayhoos have half of their upcoming record 'Put The Hammer Down' completed. They hope to finish it early this summer. Hope it will be released shortly thereafter, as opposed to 'Fear Not The Obvious' which took five years...

March 2004: Yayhoos stuff

Hey everyone - There's some promising Yayhoos news. Check out Terry Anderson's site to read more. Plus, there's a very cool demo track called All Dressed Up. I am very excited about it and hope to hear the full Yayhoos version later this year!

January 2004: Keith & The Satellites DVD

LAVA Post Production has recently completed a live DVD. It's called "Keith and the Satellites Live at the Earl." It features 11 'early' Sats songs, recorded at the live gig in February 2003. Pic of the setlist over here.
